Terms & conditions
Last updated: 6 November 2026 · Wix edition
These terms cover use of our website and, when available, ghost-hunt bookings. Merchandise and gift vouchers have separate shop terms linked in the footer and shop section. Proposed packages and guide prices are not confirmed events. A ticket can only be purchased for a confirmed venue and date with checkout enabled.
1. The organiser and contact details
Heritage Possessed is the brand used for this website. The legal operator’s name and service address are being finalised and will be displayed here and at checkout before any ticket sales open. No paid bookings are currently available. Contact: heritagepossessed@gmail.com; WhatsApp 07703 794 151. You will receive the organiser’s identity, service address, event description, total price and these terms before an order is placed.
2. Event information and prices
Confirmed listings state the venue/address, date, times, age limit, access information, inclusions and ticket price. Package artwork is illustrative and is not a photograph of a booked venue. Guide prices of £39, £55 and £65 are indicative proposals informed by UK listings, rather than a statistical national average. The price for your selected event, including applicable taxes and compulsory charges, is shown before payment. There is no additional booking fee. Transport, accommodation and meals are excluded unless the listing expressly includes them.
3. Booking and payment
The lead booker must be at least 18 and supply accurate contact details. All guests must be 18 or over. Full payment is required at checkout. Availability is checked on the server, and an unpaid checkout hold does not confirm a ticket. A contract is formed once payment is successfully verified and a booking confirmation/reference is issued. If a technical error prevents fulfilment after payment, contact us and we will investigate promptly and refund any payment for a booking we cannot provide. Do not make a second payment while a first payment is uncertain.
Card payments, when enabled, are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card information. Keep your confirmation and receipt. Contact us if you need a copy of your booking details. The terms version recorded with your booking governs that booking.
4. Cancellations by you and ticket transfers
Tickets for leisure activities on a specific date normally fall within regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, so there is no automatic 14-day cooling-off cancellation right. This does not remove your rights if the event is not provided as agreed.
Tell us as soon as possible if you cannot attend. We consider cancellation and transfer requests fairly. Any amount retained will reflect reasonable, unavoidable losses after taking account of costs saved and any resale; we will not recover the same loss twice. If your place is resold, we will refund the recovered ticket amount less any reasonable, evidenced administration cost. Transfers to another eligible adult may be agreed subject to venue restrictions; contact us before transferring. There is no unlimited right to move to another date, but we will consider requests.
5. Cancellations or material changes by us
If we cancel an event or make a material change to its date, venue or essential nature, you may choose a full ticket refund or accept an offered alternative. You are not required to accept a voucher or a different event. We aim to process an agreed refund to the original payment method within 14 days; bank processing times can vary. We will act reasonably to notify you using the details supplied. Treatment of any additional loss will follow applicable law and the circumstances; these terms do not exclude rights you cannot lawfully waive.
6. Attendance, access and conduct
Arrive at the time stated, wear sturdy footwear, bring warm clothing and a torch, and follow safety instructions. Historic buildings may have steps, uneven floors, restricted routes, cold areas and low light. We will publish known access limitations for each confirmed venue. Contact us before booking to discuss suitability and reasonable adjustments. You may leave an activity or request a break.
Alcohol, recreational drugs, threatening behaviour and damage to the venue are not permitted. We may reasonably refuse admission or ask someone to leave where necessary for safety or serious misconduct. Any refund decision will be proportionate and fair in the circumstances. Respect other guests’ beliefs and privacy, stay within permitted areas and do not touch historic objects without permission.
7. Experiences, equipment and wellbeing
Paranormal activity, specific experiences or particular recordings cannot be guaranteed. Equipment readings can have ordinary explanations. Events are for entertainment, historical interest and personal exploration. Participation in individual experiments is optional; descriptions of such activities do not establish scientific proof or provide medical, psychological or spiritual treatment. Contact us about any concern before booking.
8. Photography and recording
Ask before recording other people and follow venue restrictions. Booking does not grant us blanket permission to use your image for publicity. Any identifiable promotional filming will be explained separately with an appropriate lawful basis and a meaningful choice. You may retain rights in material you create; ask before using venue-restricted recordings commercially.
9. Responsibility and consumer rights
We provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Your statutory consumer rights remain in place. Please take reasonable care of your own belongings and report an incident or concern promptly.
10. Website content and complaints
Stories may include folklore, personal accounts and opinion. See the disclaimer. Website material and brand artwork may not be reused commercially without permission. External links have their own terms. Send complaints to heritagepossessed@gmail.com with your booking reference and details; we will acknowledge and investigate them. English law applies, while any mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction within the UK remain available. We may update these website terms prospectively, without changing an existing booking’s agreed terms.
